MPP import compatibility with Oracle Primavera P6 EPPM Cloud
With the Release 21.5, the proimporter is responding to the digital transformation into the cloud and enables the direct import of MPP files into cloud-hosted Oracle Primavera P6 EPPM databases.
Import into the Oracle Primavera P6 EPPM Cloud via web services
The communication of the proimporter via web services with the Oracle Primavera P6 EPPM Cloud and the import compatibility of XER files were already enabled in Release 21.3. The use of web services offers a new and simplified way of communication with P6 EEPM databases in the cloud. Thanks to the location-independent access via web services, the user not only gains flexibility in use. Imports now turn out to be twice as fast and half as long, which enables an additional performance boost when exchanging data (Release 21.3).

The Release 21.5 offers the direct import of MPP files into the Oracle Primavera P6 EPPM Cloud. Projects can be transferred smoothly from Microsoft Project to Oracle Primavera P6 EPPM databases. Comprehensive import and mapping settings complement a precise and secure data import. The import of resources from Microsoft Project into cloud-hosted Oracle Primavera P6 EPPM databases will be implemented as an additional feature in the upcoming release 21.6.
Also, minor improvements were made to the GUI in order to offer our customers the best usability of the tool. Among other things, error messages have been made more meaningful. This enables the user to intuitively and transparently identify import errors and to derive appropriate measures.
